Announcing the Link Lookup Mac Dashboard Widget!
The LinkShare Link Lookup widget for Mac makes it easy for you to integrate LinkShare links into your website by accessing them right from the Mac Dashboard.
There are two primary uses for Link Lookup:
- Deep linking: enter a URL from an Advertiser site and get back a commission-earning tracking link
- Search for Advertiser product links
When choosing advertisers please make sure you choose ones you are partnered with in the LinkShare Network. You'll also need to enter your LinkShare token from here on the info page. You'll likely get better search results if you choose a single Merchant.
You may have noticed this is very similar to our Link Lookup plug-in for WordPress.

Please Explain...
Return Days
Visitors may not always complete a purchase at the point of click-through. Return Days allow Advertisers to compensate you for sales that occur after a visitor's initial click-through from your site.
What does 'Return Days' mean?
If Return Days = 0, compensation will only be credited for transactions made at the point of click-through. If Return Days = 30, compensation will be credited to your account for any transaction made by the user for up to 30 days after the initial click-through, even if the user visits the Advertiser's site directly within that time period. Please note that compensation is typically credited to the last referring publisher site. Refer to an advertise's Terms & Conditions for more information.
If someone makes a purchase, do the Return Days reset?
Not necessarily. The Return Day countdown begins when you refer a visitor to the Advertiser's site. If the visitor goes through your link a second time, then the Return Days will reset. If the visitor goes directly to the Advertiser's site, the Return Days will not reset.
Within the Return Day period do you get credit for every sale that a person you referred makes, assuming they don't click through to another Publisher? Are you sure you don't only get credit for the first sale?
In most cases, the referring Publisher will get credit for all purchases made within the Return Day period. However, Advertisers reserve the right to only commission on the first purchase. Please check your Advertiser's Terms & Conditions for details regarding their Return Day policy.

Letters to the Editor
Is there a threshold that I must reach before I get paid?
To view or update your payment threshold, go to My Account > Marketing Channels, and click Edit next to the listed channels. The Payment Threshold will be displayed. A check will only be issued if your commission due exceeds the payment threshold.
I see orders, but no payments. Why?
First, check to see if some orders were non-commissionable. To do this, view a non-commissionable sales report. This report displays all non-commissionable sales transactions for your account for the period specified. A non-commissionable sale is a transaction that occurs on the advertiser site, but for which commissions are not applicable.
Keep in mind that LinkShare issues payments once the commissions were received from the Advertiser and cleared the bank. If the funds have not been received by LinkShare by the payment cycle, we cannot issue your payment. To see the status of advertiser payments, go to My Account > Payment Info and select the Advertiser Payment History link.
I see that a check has been issued, but I didn't get it. What should I do?
Contact our publisher support team and provide as many details as you can (i.e. check number, amount, issue date.) The publisher support team will verify that the check has not been cashed. Your lost check will be included in the next payment batch.

Inside the Publisher Dashboard
Where can I get details regarding the Return Days offered by an Advertiser?
Select the "Programs" tab and type the Advertiser's name in the search box located in the upper right-hand corner. You will see the Advertiser's logo along with a summary of the program details. Return Days are listed on the right-hand side.
Underneath the column labeled "Status," you will see whether or not you have an existing relationship with the Advertiser. (See screenshot. Note: if you see the "Removed (temp)" Status, you may reapply to the Advertiser's program after 14 days.)
